The Breeders' Cup Classic is a Grade I Weight for Age thoroughbred equus caballus race for 3-twelvemonth-olds and older run at a distance of one+ 1⁄4 miles (2,000 m) on dirt. Although Tiznow won the Breeders' Cup Classic and Horse of the Year honors in 2000, he is best known for his effort in the 2001 renewal.
